Proceedure for obtaining your Class B- P,S Learners Permit:

Study chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, & 10 in the CDL Drivers Manual.

Take 4 written exams at the DMV:
1. General Knowledge
2. Air Brakes
3. Passenger
4. School Bus Endorsement

Before you go for your written exam, you will need to submit proof that you have passed a physical examination.  This examination can be done by your family doctor.  He or she will have to complete a special 9 page medical form as proof that you passed the physical.  Without this form, you will have a "K" restriction placed on your CDL License.  To obtain this form, Click here. .


While you are at the DMV, you may also want to consider paying the $40 Road Test Scheduling fee.

Finally, please keep in mind that you must be at the DMV office no later than noon to take the written exams.
